Theatre85 is a UK/Spain based theatre company that was born in 2016 when two new shows were performed during the annual Symposium at Rose Bruford College in London.
The company is led by Tommy Murray and Hayley Everitt. These shows were: SLOB a clown tragicomedy exploring alcohol addiction and Not In The Mood where the characters struggle to confide in the audience about their mental health, one suffering with OCD and the other with agoraphobia. |
During 2017, SLOB was performed in Spain, the UK and Paris
and also spawned a Christmas special A Very, Very Merry SLOB-Mess
In June 2018 Theatre85 co-produced The Maple Monster a magical comedy children's show.
2019 brought the new clown blog FoolsTalk, an alternative research platform aiming to keep traditions alive whilst also exploring new universal clown-versations, having enclownters with creatives from around the clowning world.
Alongside these interviews and explorations there is also R+D into new projects evolving, trying to stay
proactive and stay safe during this unprecedented time in our world's history, taking us through 2020.
Now in 2021 the difficult times continue, however we continue to stay silly over on Instagram sharing stories and making connections - and being connected is now more important than ever. Our clown calendar has grown to include work from all over, from Canada, the US and Australia to the UK, Spain, Colombia, Peru and Argentina - the list is growing everyday.
